DescriptionHere's a view from the Crown of the Statue of Liberty which had been closed to the public from September 11, 2001 up until July 4, 2009. Have to say that the experience of climbing up those hundreds of steps in the Summer Heat was grueling to say the very least. But the ultimate prize was reaching this spot and getting this sort of view. A truly spectacular experience to have climbed up the interior of the Statue of Liberty. As you can see in this image the lady's arm, part of the torch plus part of the crown are visible.
