Description This photo was taken when Mossel Bay was hit with a enormous deep sea swell. No surfers were allowed in the water but there were a few crazies who went into a spot called Graveyards. It was a sight to behold but too dangerous to really get close and low enough for the really dramatic shots. This photo was one of the few that I am quite happy with. The original color was fine, but the black and white version really made for drama!
Gustav Snyman, Ladismith Member Since February 2011 Artist Statement I am a Graphic Designer from South Africa who has been Freelancing since the beginning of this year.
My Design career started when I worked as a apprentice goldsmith for Rodenhurst Jewelers many moons ago. Made a quick career shift into graphic design when I was asked to help with some promotional material for music artists. It was around then that I got it into my head I needed a degree. So I went to university, got my BA in Graphics and worked at two firms over the course of 3 years. Great experience!
While working at a company called Kappikappi I bought myself a Canon S5 IS and it could be said that this was the start of my love for light.
Right now I am seeing where life is going to lead me next!
