Description Beautiful sunset river. Inspiration from this cam from living and growing up in the caribbean in my youth. The beautiful, vibrant colours of the sunset makes for a wonderful dusk landscape.

Artist Statement Welcome to my artwork and how I express myself through the medium of acrylic on canvas. Please feel free to browse, have a look around, view my work, add your comments so I can know what you think. 

My interest in art started from a young age growing up in Windsor Forest Portland Jamaica. In primary school i did pencil drawings then using coloring pencils and crayons to finish. What I use to create at that age, my parents thought they were brilliant and started buying small water color sets and equipments. After this I went to a local artist in my community called Dean Van-horn; who gave me my first ever taste of painting with acrylic on canvas. This led to my parents starting to invest in my talent more a helping me to become the artist I am today. 


In my work I show a lot of bright colors and sunsets, inspired from colors I grew up seeing as a child and even my first piece of acrylic work was a sunset piece with Mr Van-horn. As a person who loves art, I get thoughts and feelings of inspiration from everything I see around me. My laid back and relaxing attitude maybe a Jamaican trait but it helps me greatly in life and this also shows in the work I do. 

People often asked me, how long does it takes to do a portrait of Bob Marley? But to be perfectly honest with you, I do not not know. When I paint; I get lost in every piece, it's like saying an affirmation and watching it come to life. I would like people to be inspired by what I do and here you will see Collin Clarke BSc, the artist in every piece of work I do, please enjoy.
