Description Quincy, WA at 8:53pm, March 19th, 2011,the perigee moon came the closest it's been to earth in 18 years. I was driving through Quincy, looked up and saw this beautiful round moon. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/03/18/supermoon-march-19-lunar-perigee_n_837220.html
Val Mohney, Seattle Member Since February 2008 Artist Statement The more you look, the more you see.
I’ve loved photography longer than I've loved living in Seattle. To escape the tyranny of Junior High gym class, I somehow worked my way into helping with my school's yearbook. I remember using the wax machine to paste pictures and lines onto the pages that would later be made into a little paper-bound yearbook. Thus, my love of photography was born.
Now, I travel and explore places long enough to learn the streets, people and rhythm of the life there. I'm passionate about collaborating and bringing together different people and elements of projects both in-person and online.
I love sharing my work in galleries and other spaces in and around Seattle. In fact, I consider Opening Night to be the ultimate expression of my art. I live to bring people and art together, the dynamic of how all those connections get made is exhilarating.
