Description Some cops keep little things in their patrol cars, such as pictures of kids, stuffed animals, and other objects in their cars. This bear is currently on the graveyard shift...The image on the bear is for the memorial in Washington for officers who died in the line of duty (National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund NLEOMF). This bear rides in memory of a deputy sheriff who died on duty.
Mary Ward, Phoenix Member Since September 2009 Artist Statement As you could probably guess, my "day job" is at night. I work the graveyard shift as police officer in the suburbs of Phoenix. While I work, I sometimes across things most people don't see, because being sane, they work during the day. Phoenix is hotter than hell most of the time, but it does make for some great sunrises, especially when there are overnight storms.Right now I'm having a lot of fun, learning every night about taking pictures without artificial light, and seeing what works and what doesn't. I'm still learning and working at finding new and unique images.
