Description This painting was inspired by my first visit to Norway. When I landed in Norway, I had to wait in the Oslo (Gardermoen) Airport (OSL) for 12 -- yes, TWELVE hours! -- until my next flight out to Harstad. My experience in that airport was actually quite comfortable. It was clean, uncomplicated, and friendly. The building itself was a beautiful work of architecture.I spent a good portion of my time staring at the ceiling as I was lying on a bench. The ceiling structure reminded me of smooth ocean waves. Maybe I was beginning to hallucinate at this point, but it did feel like I was in a large Viking ship waiting to be rescued by an entire crew of SAS flight attendants. If you ever want to get stranded in any airport in the world, I highly recommend Oslo Airport.
