Learning to See Ever since getting into photography, I've started to see things differently. It is as if I'm learning to see all over again.
Learning and Experimenting To me, learning and experimenting with new techniques and brushing up my skills and learning to compose is mainly to allow me to capture the moment the best I can when it happens.
(Written for my introduction in the Shutter Bug group)
Moments I enjoy the excitement of capturing moments, and find most joy in capturing moments that would be lost forever if I do not take that shot. That I feel, is where the real power of photography lies.
Trees Something I learnt about trees, is that they are one of the best painters in nature. Painting beautiful strokes across the skies, putting their painting high up for anyone who are willing to humble themselves to lift their heads and look up.
Commenting On my photos and on the photos of other photographers. I don't used to like commenting and adding description and find it a waste of time.
But recently, I found that it really helps in improving how I see things, as I write about how each photos attracts me.
That's why I try to write about why I like each photograph in every comment on other photographer's photos and in the description of my own photographs.
I'm enjoying it more and more too as I visit photographs taken by other photographers and having them visit me.
Visiting photographs of other photographers also opens my eyes to new ways of looking at each scene and how different composition, lighting, colors and many things work together.
