DescriptionThis is a picture of a vending booth in the middle of an empty Chicago parking lot. It looked interesting to me because I couldn't help but to feel as if I were looking down at a lonely and cold, unnamed, banished child.
Jordan Robinson, Chicago Member Since March 2010 Artist Statement My name is Jordan Robinson. I have only been taking photos for about two years, but I have captured so much beauty, that my photos speak of their own worth. I have realized something through my photography that has inspired me to become a full-time artist: beauty is in the little things.
I know that we are brought up with the beautiful things fed to us through the media, but I have decided to spend my life trying to capture the beauty least sought out. I know there is more to the world than what we are taught to see and believe. That is why my camera points to the things too often overlooked, or even shunned.
The hidden beauties of life. The things we take for granted; the things we fail to realize; the often excused and dismissed. The little treasures hidden in plain site.
