Description I first photographed this old stone building in 2006 on my New Jersey backroads travels. The resulting piece became 'Shelter from the Storm' with the drying cornstalks trailing off into the tall grass in front. When I came across it again in 2009 the scenario was totally different. The cornstalks and grass were down revealing trees and fields in the background that weren't visible the first time around. The new image seemed to lend itself to minimal color and starkness that became 'The Morning After'.
Darlene Foster, Plainfield, New Jersey Member Since January 2009 Artist Statement I am a New Jersey based artist offering photographic art services to professional photographers (as well as the general public) across the country and beyond. My services include retouching, restoration and collage, but I specialize in digital painting interpretations of a photographer's images that he or she can offer to their clients. You can read a little more about me and my business by visiting My Website.
The work you see on this site I do for me (and hopefully, the enjoyment of others). I've always had that little something in my head (and my heart) that nudges or sometimes pushes me to create. I've followed it in many directions over the years- drawing, painting, photography, music. Wherever it leads, I've always enjoyed the journey and will continue to do so. Please visit My Blog or My Facebook Page for more details on what I've been working on lately.
I hope you enjoy my images and thanks for stopping by!
