Description The pufferfishs pointed spines and ability to change its shape drastically reminded me of the way that human beings sometimes experience emotional shifts. We dont really need pointed spines or expandable stomachs to demonstrate to others how we feel.
Pollux (Paul Morris), Los Angeles, California Member Since April 2007 Artist Statement Thanks for visiting my page!
Pollux is my pen-name. In one way or another, I've always scribbled, sketched, and painted. My goal is to plunge into the subterranean world that exists just beyond the conscious world -a sort of visit to a mad world with a round-trip ticket. My galleries are divided into basic topics: Gods, Animals, Mortals, Cities, Zodiacal Symbols, Jazz Musicians, Landscapes, etc.
I've self-published a number of comic and humor titles. I've published the graphic novels The Golden Helmsman, A Lime on a Rain-Covered Sidewalk, and Ferrex and Porrex, among others.
My acrylic paintings join seemingly irreconcilable objects together to create visually arresting, and sometimes jarring, images.
