Description Over 3,500 years old, and with a trunk 17.5 feet in diameter, The Senator was one of the oldest and largest trees east of the Mississippi. When it burned in January of 2012, Central Florida lost one of its most beloved natural attractions. Remember the Senator with this vintage style poster.
Rick Kilby, Orlando Member Since February 2012 Artist Statement I am a graphic designer and lover of all things pertaining to Old Florida – the Florida before interstate highways and Disney. I have a real affinity for old kitschy roadside attractions and vintage neon signs. My goal is to create more awareness of the history and natural beauty of the sunshine state with the hope that if I can motivate folks to get out there and enjoy it, it may not go away. I blog about stuff like this at: http://studiohourglass.blogspot.com/
