Artist Statement Tom Stuck was born and raised in a small rural town in southeastern Wisconsin. His passion for art began at an early age.

Tom’s inherited talent grew and was inspired continuously throughout his life. He attended several colleges during his study in art, among them were UW-Stevens Point, Stevens Point, Wisconsin and Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Also, he enjoyed the great opportunity as a transfer student to continue his studies at Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. After many years of education, Tom received an Degree from Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design in Illustration and a minor in Graphic Design.

After graduation, Tom started his career as a free-lance illustrator. He has been recognized in several national magazines, among them are American Fitness Magazine, Corporate Report Magazine and Wisconsin Interest Magazine.

During a family vacation, Tom visited several galleries in Hawaii and was instantly inspired by the bright colors and creativity of the local Artists’ paintings. He has studied many old masters, such as Van Gogh, Manét and Picasso for their style of art. Tom’s collection of art portrays his impression of the Tropical Fish in their environment and show hints of his predecessors.

His paintings have been represented in several local exhibitions. Among those exhibitions includes a annual group show at Frederick Layton Gallery, affiliated with Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. He has also been represented in the “Best of Ringling” show at Selby Gardens in Sarasota, Florida.
