Description A stunning facsimile of Giuseppe Arcimboldos work. This photographic reproduction has been carefully digitized and retouched in great detail allowing for print sizes up to 36' at 150 dpi. This type of art work looks best on a textured substrate to enhance the realism of the surface. As a paper choice we recommend either a matte canvas or Hahnemuehle's Torchon FineArt paper. This is a photographic reproduction of an original two-dimensional work of art. The work of art itself is in the public domain since the copyright has expired. If we can be of any help please contact us anytime. Peter Biller, Old World Print Shop, January 2010.
Here you will find facsimiles of art work covering Old World artist from Arcimboldo to Zoetl. Many of these reproductions are very unique or hard to find and span European art history from about 1500 through the early 1900's. We have currently well over 6,000 image files in a growing archive representing etchings, prints of all types, paintings, photography and color plates from antique books. This truly eclectic collection was compiled in Europe over the past 10 years by my uncle and antique dealer Georg Biller (www.billeranik.de) and is now made available for sale here in the US.
You can order your favorite print on a variety of papers via the customize button. A textured, matte paper like Torchon or a Canvas are typically the best option for a truly stunning print. An impressive array of frames and matts are also available should you want to order your print ready to hang on the wall or wrap as a unique gift.
Please come back often to see what's new. I will start with Giuseppe Arcimboldo's most famous and unusual paintings followed by a Gallery of over 100 maritime themed works of Old World artists.
