The cord can be followed into the body of the toaster where it is connected with screws. The toast platforms which hold the toast between the heating elements can be clearly visualized in the center of the toast body. Despite scrutiny under this high resolution CT scan, we were unable to pinpoint the cause of toast only getting crisp on one side of the bread.

METHODS Satre acquires the images with a CT scanner that is used for research. Colors are assigned based on the varying densities of materials present throughout the object, and black or white backgrounds are chosen as appropriate.
