Description The library at the University of Notre Dame features this huge mural in stone on the side of the building. Standing in the doorway of the library under the artwork looking back across the reflecting pond is the football stadium. Consequently, this piece is known by anyone familiar with the school as 'Touchdown Jesus.' The sky was blue and the water was still on the afternoon I took this shot. It's processed in Photomatix and Photoshop to add visual impact. My only regret is that my lens wasn't wide enough to capture the full reflection of the building in the water. I've got a wider lens now, but haven't been able to recapture the intensity that resulted in this image. This photo looks great on canvas, by the way!
Paul Brackley, Chicago Member Since May 2007 Artist Statement I've been a serious photographer for nearly 40 years. I particularly enjoy "creating" works of art with my camera, but find that today's digital tools really extend my creativity. HDR processing and other image-manipulation programs are real interests of mine, and even though I've created some surreal images, my favorites are those that leave the viewer wondering, "How'd he do that?"
