Description Trinity Church, Copley Square Boston, by RD RiccoboniTrinity Church, built 1872-77 by architect Henry Hobson Richardson is on the east side of Copley Square, next to the Hancock Place tower by I. M. Pei, and across the open space from the Boston Public Library, in the background to the right is the older John Hancock tower and the Copley Hotel. One of the greatest of U.S. architects, Richardson developed a powerful personal style, related to the Romanesque of southern France, producing most of his larger buildings with strong, clear, simple rusticated masonry forms.Color is the first thing you notice about my work.
