Description It is finally completed and is based on a photograph I took of Mia. Mia is our Tabby cat we brought home from the local shelter. She makes a great model. Urban Jungle is painted using Ink and watercolor pencil wash on my favorite Hot pressFabriano Artistico Bright White Watercolor paper. My paintings take a long time to complete because of the level of detail and painted in my studio on my NW Oregon Farm.

My work explores the relationship between Trompe l'oeil and surreal Abstracts. With influences as diverse as Leonardo da Vinci and Buckminster Fuller, new variations are generated from both explicit and implicit dialogues.
Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of all Art.
What starts out as vision soon becomes contemporaneously into a hegemony of wild abandonment, leaving only a sense of peace or chaos with the stroke of a pen and with the likelihood of a new reality.
As wavering derivatives become clarified or distorted through diligent and critical practice, depending on my mood, the viewer is left with a new agenda of dream like thoughts or questions of our condition.
Art should always be fun and experimental.
