Description This is a photo of part of a carousel horse sculpture I designed. The mane is made of clay that can air dry painted with gold paint. The main body is wood. Embellishments adorn the steed and he is hand painted an antique cream color. I made just a few of these and this is one I have hanging in a shadowbox frame in our house.
Carolyn Valcourt, Taylorsville, North Carolina Member Since July 2012 Artist Statement Art has been my passion all my life. I have drawn horses since I was a little girl. I was able to use my art talent throughout my elementary school teaching career and now after retiring from 32 years of teaching I am able to dedicate more time to developing my drawing and painting skills. "The Master's Hand" is the name of my enterprise. I give God all the glory for what He is able to accomplish through my hand and my life. I became a Christian at age 15 and became a new person when I accepted what Christ did on the cross was for me personally. Since that day I use every chance I get to tell everyone of the great news. Jesus, the perfect one, died in my place to pay for my sin. He rose to assure me eternal life with Him. There is no better way to live life than for Him alone. I hope someday you will discover His perfect love. Carolyn
