Description This piece is a parody of traditional fruit bowl paintings. Here we see the bowl upturned, the fruit climbs to the top and plants a flag marked 'VITTORIA,' the Italian word for victory. I chose Italian as a reference to the great Italian masters. The vibrant colors and high level of detail give the impression that you could reach through the canvas, pick a grape and eat it. Yum!
Jacquie Willoughby Member Since December 2012 Artist Statement After spending a few years receiving tough fine art training from professor and artist Michael Wies at the Maryland Institute College of Art, I left school and took a long break. Recently, I went back to finish my degree at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design. Art has always been my passion, and will soon be my full time career. Six years working full time at a desk job gave me more than enough motivation to work on becoming financially independent.
I have an amazing husband, one sister, two dogs, and a turtle. My parents, family and husband all support my career choice as an artist.
