Description Emperor Tiberius ruled the Roman Empire from Villa Jovis on the Isle of Capri for some ten years. It lies in ruins now, yet retains its imperial splendour and spirit. It is situated at the peak of Monte Tiberio, at the eastern end of the island. It will take you about 40 minutes to walk up there, and when you get there you won't see what you can see in this image. This is a view of over 360 degrees. The tree on the left is the same tree as the one on the right. If you stand in this spot and look down this ancient Roman walkway, the mountain of Anacapri is actually behind you. On this photograph, you can see it in the distance as if it was in front of you.
