Description A typically Dutch scene at the very popular tourist attraction of Kinderdijk, a small village to the South of Rotterdam which features 19 windmills, and has been classed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.Though windmills such as these are a common sight all over The Netherlands, you won’t see so many crammed together in such a small area anywhere else. A great place for a wander, I’ll definitely be planning a return visit.
Stephanie Owen, Vlaardingen Member Since December 2010 Artist Statement I’m an English expatriate living in The Netherlands with a real passion for photography, I have the vision, I have the flair, just wait til I have the proper equipment!
I’m never happier than when exploring new terrain and wandering off the beaten track alone. I continue to pursue my photography dream, hopefully turning my hobby into a career eventually. I am currently in the market for a swanky top of the range DSLR (Preferably one from the Canon EOS range) especially if I intend to take my photos to the next level, but my compact point-and-shoot 8.1mp has served me well, until now.
My other main passions in life are music (preferably metal), travelling, getting back to nature and caring for animals. Oh, and shoe shopping always brightens a dark day!
