In 1983 one of Mark's paintings was selected along with other Idaho artists, to be included in the first ever regional art exhibit, "Sawtooths and Other Ranges of Imagination" at The National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution, in Washington DC.,
Since then and now, Mark worked as an Art Director for an international sportswear company in Kaneohe, Hi. and as a graphic artist/illustrator in the imprinted apparel industry. During this time he learned to create his art with the aid of computer programs.
