An abandoned village located in the town of Cornwall, Connecticut, Dudleytown over the years has acquired the reputation of one of the most haunted locations in America. Although signs and fences warn the curious away, hundreds if not thousands of people still make the pilgrimage to Dudleytown in hopes of an encounter with the paranormal. For the complete legendary and factual history of Dudleytown, visit here: Introduction to Dudleytown Wikipedia also has a Dudleytown entry with many links. Is Dudleytown an ancient pocket of evil in the remote hills of northwestern Connecticut? That's for you to decide. My thanks to Jerry Carlin for sending me a photo of one of his marvellous wrought-iron installations, which inspired this painting.
