Description As legends and folklore has it. the white knight rescues the damsel in distress, falls in love, and saves the day. Real-life white knights are both men and women who enter into romantic relationships with damaged and vulnerable partners, hoping that love will transform their partner's life. This relationship pattern seldom leads to a storybook ending.Though most white knights feel that they are selfless and sacrificing, their rescuing behavior is misguided and destructive. Problems begin to arise when they care for their partners at the expense of their own needs. They often encounter abusive or self-destructive behavior in their partners and when they try to control and make decisions for their partners, the conflict only escalates. Of true partnership, they know little about. The white knight is a lonely warrior searching for a love that will lead them to the summit of darkness and despair.Digital painting
