Description Part of the charm for me, is the blurry, spontaneous effect of this quick snapshot in time. She was walking on the outside rim of the tall Tower of the Americas in San Antonio, with a strong tail wind.
Keith Dotson, Madison, WI Member Since January 2010 Artist Statement Hi. I'm Keith and I'm relatively new to ImageKind. Here's a little about myself and my work. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask... I love hearing from people. You can also visit my personal Web site for the latest updates on my work and activities as an artist.
The landscape is the basis of my art. My studio is the outdoors, in all its forms, with subjects ranging from abstractions and patterns to bold, sweeping vistas (including the urban landscape). Much of the satisfaction I derive from photography is the sense of exploration and discovery; the visceral process of venturing out to make images; the silence of fog broken only by the sound of the camera shutter; the soft crunch of snow underfoot on a frosty winter morning; the fluttering colors of descending leaves in the forest on a Fall afternoon.
My work has been shown in art galleries in Texas, Minneapolis, and Madison, Wisconsin. "Public Market, Seattle" was a popular canvas print offered by Urban Outfitters, selling-out in less than 6 months. Six of my black and white landscapes are also available through the home decor section of Fathead.com.
I love traveling, and have been fortunate to see most of the US, as well as parts of Mexico, Greece, Germany, Greenland, India and Canada. I currently reside in Madison, Wisconsin, where I find beauty in all four seasons.
