DescriptionI painted this based on one of the most beautiful days I think I've ever had. I came home at the end of summer to visit my parents on their farm and they had planted a field of Zinnias instead of a garden. As I was taking pictures of all the flowers, a humming bird kept flying around my hand and I reached down and lightly caught it. After showing my 3 year old nephew, I released it. Afterwards, a massive thunderstorm rolled in. The flowers against the sky were breathtaking. It was the most surreal experience.
