Artist Statement The new purpose of this website is to sell my artwork to pay off my college loans which I am sinking under. I graduated in 2001 and have been paying on my college loan for about 16 years, and I still owe $39,451.07 in federal loans. I have a 15 year old son, and I am part of a generation which has not been able to pay off their own college loans and will try to get loans to pay for my son's college while still paying loans myself. I am middle class, so I fear that he will be looked over for most financial aid. I will update the amount as I start selling artwork. I have about 3 years before my son will enter college.
How far have I come in life? I lived in a mobile home in a trailer part until I was 19 years old and headed off for college. My mother died of cancer when I was 11 years old and my father had MS and was disabled. I worked from the age of 14 to support myself and help support my father as well. He went onto to live in a senior assisted living home and I moved out into my own apartment senior year of high school. I was determined to make something of myself, so I did earn a small scholarship and headed off to MIAD to earn a BFA in Industrial Design. I delivered pizzas through college to try to support myself. It took a few years after college, but I finally got a decent job and am now considered middle class. I have designed products, websites, and displays for 16 years now. I work very hard, and in addition to my full time job, I have done a lot of artwork in hopes that the sale of this artwork can pay off my college and maybe even help pay for my son's college. If you can afford to, please look through my artwork and buy one of my photos or digital paintings. I just thought it would be nice for people to know where their money is going and what type of person I am.
I am a 40 year old professional designer and artist. I have a BFA from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and have had tremendous success in the field of product design. I also do graphic design, but I could never quite kick the fine artist out of me. I have been painting and drawing since I was six, and have always been gifted as an artist. You will find that my work has depth and feeling in each piece. I welcome questions and comments about my art. If you ever need a larger print than is available on the website, please let me know. Some files have been compressed for faster upload speed. I hope you enjoy my artwork!

Sincerely,

Rosemary Lynn Wendorf
