Artist Statement Photography began as a passion at young age, which I was fortunate enough to transform to a career after formal training.

With a deep interest in light, and it's diversity, I hope to continue to carry it through into my personal work, as it develops into a collection of it's own.

Over the last 20 some years, mostly in Toronto, I produced photographs for major advertising agencies producing campaigns for clients such as American Express, Air Canada, Bell, BMO, Cadillac, IBM, Mercedes Benz, Nike, UPS, Walmart, with my work being published in over 50 countries worldwide.

I've also been fortunate to see my work published in major publications such as Rolling Stone, Gourmet, Food and Wine, Vanity Fair, while garnishing a few awards for my photography from organizations such as Communication Arts, ADCC, London International Awards, Applied Arts, Cannes Lion, Graphis, Archive Magazine, Clio.

Based in Vancouver, B.C., for the last few years I now call this part of the world, home.

Thank-you for taking the time to browse through my images!

Artist Statement:

A passion over the years developed from manipulating light, watching light, capturing light, and appreciating the endless subtleties of light.

Light is the major motivator for taking photographs, whether they are still life shots in a controlled studio environment, or to the "decisive moment" of a street photograph. I love it all. It's the ability to see and capture what may not be evident to the regular viewer.

Light motivates to photograph people. As in the right light, with an ability to capture the true essence of someone, you instill their own true beauty in themselves; to witness this emotion and capture this timeless moment is truly amazing.

This is where the thrill comes from, and to see the finished photograph as a print, is a true joy. As I was fortunate to capture the beauty of anyone or anything, when they are in the light.
