Artist Statement My heart's desire for about the last twenty years has been to learn to paint people. I'm especially interested in painting family members and ancestors. I love to paint beautiful scenery, animals, designs and other things. Now that I'm retired, I'm happy to have the opportunity to explore my passion for art.

After seeking for someone to teach me, I found one who was warm, friendly and encouraging. She not only told me, but showed me how to create art. She's left my area, but while she was here, she had a profound impact on my life. Her help gave me the confidence to continue my work on my own. I continue to learn each and every day.

I creat art, simply because I enjoy it so much. It gives me a wonderful sense of satisfaction.

The media I am using currently is Painter X. I also create paintings in oil, acrylic and pencil and love to take photographs of people and nature.

I love the feeling when one of my works makes others feel good and happy. I believe I have a rather unique “feel good” style and would like to share it with all who appreciate it.

My other love is doing family trees for my own family and for others. I've been a professional genealogist for many years.
