Description Detail from a 1932 issue of True Confessions magazine. Artist unattributed. The text in the feature article says: 'Pattern T2453 is versatile and very practical with its stunning jumper and ravishing blouse. ... We suggest a sheer wool in those delightful brown and tan mixed tones.... Metal or bone buttons add a final touch of chic. Pattern T2430 is a fascinating interpretation of the wide-shoulder mode, dressed up most gracefully for afternoon or informal evening wear. Diagonal lines of bodice and skirt are extremely flattering to the figure.... An ideal model for velvet or satin or sheer crepe....' Pattern T2419 is a blouse with raglan puffed sleeves. Pattern T9447 is a skirt with 'the new built-up waistline'.
