Digital 3d art – Prints at Imagekind.com
Digital 3D art is an art form that utilizes technology in a way to create stunning
and mesmerizing works of art. The lifelike images that can be created through digital
3D art make this genre increasingly popular. Though some still disagree with the
concept of digital art, saying it takes away from the originality and basic creative
process, it is becoming more and more accepted and utilized.
There are several components common in digital art that makes it distinct. Using
geometric shapes, polygons, or NURBS curves digital
3D art consists of a multidimensional, complex aspect that makes the images
look lifelike. In addition, whether the image is completely and solely created with,
on and by the use of computers, or if the image is simply scanned and uploaded on
the computer, both are forms of classifying digital art. In the latter instance,
the artwork is typically created using standard art practices. Paintings, photography
and the like can easily be scanned onto the computer for digital printing, storing
and, in the case of Imagekind, selling.
When an image is scanned and uploaded onto the computer, it then lends itself to
an entirely different form of digital art known as digital modification. Through
this processes, one piece of art is created, uploaded and then subsequently changed
by, typically but not always, another artist. Though the two different art pieces
contain similar images and motifs, they are two distinct pieces with their own themes
and significance. The modification process of digital 3D art is growing in commonality
due to the ease of accessibility to the software the makes it possible.
