Description One last shot of Delicate Arch near Moab, Utah. It was getting dark and time to start the 1.5 mile hike back to the car. By the time I packed up and started down it was dark on this moonless night. I was happy to have my CCD cleaning flashlight in my camera bag!
James Neeley, Idaho Member Since December 2006 Artist Statement Photography has been a love of James Neeley's for 40 years. With an eye for form and composition, and a passion for beautiful landscapes, James is at home behind the eyepiece of a camera. HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography has invigorated his goal of capturing in an image, the beauty and feeling in a scene for those who view his work.
"Form and beauty come together with detail, color, lighting, and contrast in a dramatic way with HDR photography."
A Radiologist by profession, James spends each day examining hundreds of medical images of patients. He feels that this work develops a critical eye for patterns and detail and helps as he views his surroundings in an artistic search for the perfect picture.
