Artist Statement Having a background in GardenDesign has proved invaluable in progressing a photography career that began with Weddings & Portraits, through Boudoir Photography and ultimately into a Photographic Artist.

The basic principles of Garden Design - Balance, Unity, Rhythm, Proportion, Scale, along with an understanding and effective use of colour, apply in all of the creative arts, none more so than photography, with Wedding & Portrait Photography being the perfect arena in which to learn ones camera craft and build on the love of working with and photographing people, Framing, working with light, both natural and studio and the importance of expression becoming second nature.

Throughout all of this time development of working with models and other professionals was being progressed, this accelerated with the move into Boudoir Photography, requiring the skills to work 'one to one' with the client in creating a sensually artistic portfolio, usually for a third party and to have the ability to tap into his or her imagination, here the importance of posing and development of images that have real atmosphere are crucial.

Now dedicating my time as a Photographic Artist I love what I do and would like to think that my work pleases the viewer as much as it has pleased me in creating it.
