Asian Artwork – Prints at Imagekind
Asian artwork supplies quite a few homes and galleries with design elements. With
the precise, fluid brush strokes of Asian paintings and the muted, almost delicate,
color palates used in much
Asian art,
many people find this type of art especially appealing and soothing. With some varieties
focusing on a Zen aspect, Chinese art is perfect for anyone searching to buy pieces
for a meditative space.
Imagekind, as well as many other art galleries, contains dozens of beautiful specimens
of Asian artwork, whether one is looking to acquire traditional or modern pieces.
Well-known Chinese artist, Sanyu, is known for his monochromatic, abstract paintings,
usually depicting nude women. “Rendezvous After Sunset” and “Bather” are two Sanyu
painting that can be found within Imagekind. When well framed and placed in a gallery
or house, these pieces could make a dramatic statement.
Following traditional Asian artwork, many modern artists are drawing from ancient
and perfected techniques and then adding their own elements to create something
new and evolved. “Jardin”, by Sylvie Aubert, combines the Asian tradition of calligraphy
with bold colors and a newer, abstract style. Another contemporary artist following
the tradition of Asian artwork and presenting on Imagekind’s website, is Jennifer
Goldberger. Goldberger’s piece, entitled “Bamboo Panel II”, is reminiscent of older
Japanese art depicting one or more of the Four Elements that were essential parts
of Japanese culture. Bamboo, representing summer, was symbolic and uses this image
by painting it in her own fluid brush strokes.
