Artist Statement I am so blessed to have the opportunity to live in the rural mountains and in the great plaines.

Early in photography, I discovered that some aspects of nature photography prefer not to be possessed, but appreciated, just as they are. These challenges inspire me to keep improving.

Whether photographing architecture or simple objects in a room, the history lessons are my new classroom. The items draw me in and I’m in the past… observing the simplicities and complexities of life and quiet moments, once upon a time. With each snap of the shutter, I return to a time that once shaped those lives.

Every region in the United States preserves its own past. The tools and architecture, discovered in each region, represent the distinctive fingerprints, unique to its own history and survival. I am grateful to be living in this time, when pieces and places of American history still exist. I am thankful for those who appreciate our beginnings and have helped to preserve it.

Portraits are most precious and personal to me.
Family, friends and clients allow me the opportunity to photograph their special moments. I appreciate each client. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. It is absolutely my pleasure.
