Artist Statement I have been musing about color all my life. I did crayon drawings before I could walk, painted all through school, majoring in painting in collage in Ohio. I was a weaver while raising my children, then began painting silk scarves to help pay for their college. Now I am back to oil painting which is my joy. My paintings these days are mostly abstract expressions working from a color and movement base, forming shapes and making connections with my inner landscape and my emotional pull on this level. I have recognition in Vermont, but I have not made the grand tour of art galleries for representation. In Vermont I am one of 6 who run a successful craft gallery, I curate exhibits, have solo shows, and display in theme shows. Many Vermonters think I am a successful artist...but galleries are closing, so I will try my way virtually.
