Member Since March 2010
Artist Statement Native of the northwest side of Chicago, my father and his two brothers were printers for Donnelly and Sons, formerly known as The Lakeside Press.
the company was known for its rotogravure, typeset, litho, and large offset printing publications, e.g., Look, Life, and National Geographic.
I loved looking at the photography and trying to figure out how they did that. I would see all sorts of versions as they were printed and then the finish publication. Printing and photography were a daily diet at home, we even had our own dark room.
Seventy-five percent of my file is film produced on medium format film cameras such as a Fuji 6x17, 6x9, Pentax 6x7 and a Noblex rotating lens 6x12 format.
I scan all my film on an Imacon @300dpi.
I proof on an Epson 7600.
High rez .tiff's are available upon request.
