Artist Statement New Jersey art student Kim Grier currently devotes most of her time to her work in AP studio art as a senior in a north New Jersey school. There she can be seen working on various projects around the school community such as doing layout for the schools art and literary magazine Calliope, helping out as president of Newton High School's chapter of National Art Honor Society, to aiding in the sets of the schools production of The Crucible just to name a few.

Also since working as an intern at Newton, New Jersey's TraillWorks she has been involved Main Street Newton's 2nd Saturdays, having her artwork featured in the New Jersey Harold for participating in the Winter Stroll on Spring Street.

"I gain inspiration from the world and all of the experiences that happen around me. I believe that in all that happens in life, there are stories to be told. Sometimes those stories are put in the spot light, and sometimes they go unnoticed. This is an idea that I incorporate into my artwork every time I put pencil to paper - to tell stories untold, to even the balance. To hopefully shed some light on those willing to see it."
