Description This was a challenging series to photograph. I shot this in my bathtub. I positioned the camera on a tripod, hovering next to/over the tub, using the self-timer feature. My camera is not waterproof so i had to be very careful. I couldnt tell if i was in frame or not, so i spent about four hours splashing around in my tub. As you can see, i posed with a piece of sheer white chiffon clinging to my wet body. I didnt mean to lop my head off but i do like the abstract look of this photograph and it almost has a painterly look to it. For this shot, i anchored myself by grasping onto the soap boar, which is why my arm muscle is so pronounced. This is the first image in my Bare Essence series.
SIDE NOTE: I lost a bunch of images when my back-up portable drive went kaput. Ive been slowly going through hundreds of cds hoping to recover some of the images and this was one of the image i found on one of my cds and i am happy to be able to resurrect it from my archives!
About Me: I am a self-taught photographic artist. My art explores my internal landscapes, like... survivor issues, spirituality and sensuality. Much of my work is comprised of self-portraits. My intent with my creations is to be one of the connecting threads in the universal fabric we share. A detailed biography and resume can be viewed here: https://www.behance.net/jaedadewalt/resume
