I work with words, camera, paper & a bit more.
Florida is a great place to click & record.
But I find images to preserve wherever I go.
I especially like to look for signs, to see how what others have written for advertising or information, can become worth viewing on a wall.

In 2010 I participated in creation of a children's picture book biography collaboration, from National Geographic Society.
It has has received praise from:

School Library Journal
Booklist
Kirkus

This picture book biography is about an amazing woman who I hope you'll want to know, Betty Mae Jumper.

SHE SANG PROMISE: The Story of Betty Mae Jumper, Seminole Tribal Leader.

This is a collaboration with artist Lisa Desimini, who created oil paintings that deserve a gallery of their own. See more of her stunning work

The afterword letter is written by poet Moses Jumper, Jr.

"Betty Mae Jumper is a woman ahead of her time and will inspire young people who face the world. Your story is informative and engaging. The illustrations are lovely... I read it with delight as I was reminded of my early experiences with the Seminole tribe in Miami..."

"...a good traveling companion. It would make a fine welcoming gift to a

For this gallery, as much as I enjoy finding the perfect landscape, often to shoot in close-up, such as the scallop shells of Apalachicola, I also like recording whimsey, finding irony in signage & highlighting juxtapositions of items, such as in "Blue Guitar."
I also like to shoot small, small libraries and places where writers work.
