Artist Statement Jillisill is a native New Yorker who currently resides in a studio apartment with 2 cats in Bushwick, Brooklyn. She is a graduate of the (in)famous City-As-School and is now pursuing an Anthropology degree at SUNY New Paltz. In her photographs she tries to capture an organic image of the industrial world and the beauity in communal, collaborative and interactive art.
She has always been influenced by graffiti, new york night life, grit, Jack Ezra Keats, Keith Hairing, the 1970's and Fafi.
