Artist Statement I’m an independent photojournalist and portrait photographer based in Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as an adjunct instructor for Stanly Community College’s Advanced Photography course.

Previously I’ve served as Contributing Editor with CLTblog.com – Charlotte’s largest independent city blog – when it was selected in 2009 and 2010 for a Charlotte Magazine Best of the Best award, and selected by Creative Loafing for Best of Charlotte awards from 2009 to 2011.

I’ve also served as a Correspondent with Crossroads Charlotte, a non-profit community building initiative, from 2009 to 2011. In addition, I’ve managed social media and produced multimedia content for a number of local bands and small businesses.

Photography clients include PBS, CNBC, Wired, Our State magazine, Charlotte Magazine, Charlotte Observer, Lake Norman News, Queens University, WCNC, QCityMetro, Northeastern University, and many others.

My work has been displayed by the Mint Hill Art Gallery, North Carolina Museum of History, and the Charlotte Museum of History.
