Description This print is from an original painting I named 'Cherish'. A 'parent tree' and a 'baby tree' stand side by side against a very colorful sky and horizon. The colors are aqua, red, purple, pink, blue, rust, and brown.
Itaya Lightbourne, WA state Member Since November 2007 Artist Statement I believe that my paintings come from a place that all artists must tap into in order to express themselves. Once one is in that creative flow then all things are possible. Creating in some way every day is a wonderful discipline and it keeps one in that creative flow or in that ‘place’ that only those that create know of. This place is where time stops and all else ceases to exist. When I am painting or creating with another medium this place becomes my entire universe. It is a sacred and treasured place that I find myself needing to connect with time and time again. Hopefully you will enjoy the products of my time spent in that wonderful creative space.
I have been painting for over 20 years. I primarily paint with acrylic paints. You may also visit my art blog (http://itaya.blogspot.com) to see what has been my latest creative passion.
