Description The College of Charleston's Randolph Hall was built in 182829. It is one of the oldest college buildings still in use in the U.S. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. The College of Charleston (informally known as C of C) is a public, sea-grant and space-grant university located in historic downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The College was founded in 1770 and chartered in 1785, making it the oldest college or university in South Carolina, the 13th oldest institution of higher learning in the United States and the oldest municipal college in the country. C.W. Johnson-Miles, Stafford, VA Member Since October 2013 Artist Statement C.W. Johnson-Miles has more than 35 years of Photography, Journalism and Public Affairs experience. He is a former U.S. Navy Sailor, a 20-year retired Chief Petty Officer who has a Bachelor of Science degree in the Humanities with depth fields in Religion/Philosophy and Journalism. He is currently employed as a writer/editor, public affairs specialist and a photographer for the Marine Corps. He has traveled across the U.S. several times visiting all 50 states. He has also ventured to many countries around the world.
