Artist Statement Bari started his Art Career in 1973. With a great Art Instructor, Mr. Wilson, Bari was encouraged to follow his artistic path. By 1975 he had graduated from Okanagan College in Applied Arts. A two year program with instructional Art classes in sculpture, painting using various media's, Art History, sketching and nude portraits.

After his program he pursue community art works in the Okanagan Valley. Times were tuff for any artist. Bari had no choice but go back to school to get his training as a technical draftsman;another two year program at Cariboo College in Kamloops,B.C., Canada.

While at Cariboo College he was asked to do Northwest Native Paintings for a small art museum in Vernon,B.C.

Besides working as a draftsman, he was commissioned to do various Northwest Native Paintings throughout the north and south okanagan valley.

Bari is not Native / First Nations and realized it is an honour and respect of the Native Culture to make sure that his Northwest Native Paintings were of his own distinct design. Bari has too much respect for the Northwest Native/First Nations Culture to exactly copy their design.

Bari study the Northwest Native/First Nations culture which took three years of research.
All of Bari's designs are of his own. He gives you a written "Legend" on the back of each painting, Limited Addition and "giclee canvas".

Bari gives only one or two of his Northwest Native Art Works at a time due to the fast selling of his Art.
Bari is working on different projects and also marketing his published book " Canadian Recipes of the Great White North" at http://chefbari.com

My book is made as an all canadian format with information about the Yukon Gold Rush, a small history on the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), a guide to preparing yourself into the great outdoors, plus stories about the bull moose that chased me into my home and lot of great recipes that are "game" recipes which all have a subsitution at the bottom of each recipe; example: moose tenderloin - beef tenderloin.

Please support a canadian author and artist :
http://chefbari.com - recipes, my book and a sign up Newsletter where you can receive free recipes, tips and outdoor information
http://outdoorsnorthwest.org - information of canadian artists for canadians. Not to say I would not sell to USA - just that the cost of delivering over the border will cost you extra.

Enjoy all the artists that take so many hours to accomplish their impressions of our world and universe.
Thank you for taking the time to read this information.
