Yvonne Seiwell, Artist
Yvonne was born and raised in Vineland, New Jersey. Her love of art began early when as a girl she would always be drawing and would sketch pencil portraits of her family. Marrying early in life, further academic education was delayed until her sons were raised. At that point, after moving to Florida, she enrolled into college the same time as her sons. At college this basic in depth art study initiated a total art interest and involvement in all the various art mediums.
After college Yvonne became a freelance graphic designer and desktop publisher for five years. During an illness when she had to let go of her design business her love of fine art and crafts took precedence. She began delving into sketching, portraiture and crafts. Her creativity extends to bead and jewelry making and decorative painting. In 1996 Yvonne studied portraiture under Laurie Snow Hein whose work appears in galleries and on national greeting cards. Since that time Yvonne has been accepting commission work for portraits from photos of people or pets and rendering them in pastel. Pastels have been the medium of choice as they lend a special look and life to each piece of artwork. They are very versitile in method of looseness or of tight detail. Yvonne is very satisfied that her clients have always expressed satisfaction, pleasure and excitement over the completed works.
