Artist Statement Robert Finch is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and lives in Santa Fe New Mexico. His work has been labeled as mystical impressionism. His medium is mixed media, photography and canvas. The artist attended school for periods of time in both New York and Paris, where he fell in love with art. After graduating from Rhodes College with a B.A. in History/French with a concentration on the Renaissance and Reformation he went to work for The Eastman Kodak Company for several years before making his way as an artist.
Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Miro, Chagall and other great contemporary and modern painters have influenced FINCH and these great masters influence' can be seen in his work.
."Finch uses a variety of instruments to apply brilliant colors of acrylic paint on canvases which charm the eye and warm the heart. His creative expression is unusually abstract, mystical and impressionistic. Something everyone should have the opportunity to see."
