Artist Statement I am an accomplished artist.
I've been an artist most of my life, or as long as I can remember.
Years of reading, study, (self-taught) and the act of the creative process has brought me many artistic accomplishments.
Acrylic and watercolor mediums are my favorites, and probably in that order.
I most enjoy creating texture with the use of acrylic pastes and gels for enhancement of color and gloss.
I use professional art materials, mat and/or frame myself, and save the originals for other venues.
The spiritual discovery that lies within every fragment that nature has to behold is what influences my art the most.
After living for 40 years with a chronic illness I still have so much to be greatful for. I don't think life is an easy trip for anyone. Painting is a way of relaxation for me and brings me closer to my Creator. So I suppose, or at least hope, that I tend to exemplify a feeling of spirit in my work, and will always appreciate and enjoy sharing the beauty and discovery that nature has to offer us.
