Artist Statement I am a graphic designer / illustrator from Montreal. I've been working freelance for the past 8 years doing work for a wide variety of clients.

My work has always been a very introspective and personal way for me to express myself. I like to define my emotions and thoughts in a way that when I look at it I will know exactly how I felt at the moment I created it, but without making it definite for others. It's up to the person viewing it to decide what it means to her or him.

Every aspect and element of a piece means something to me. The circle there, or the line crossing this particular letter, they all have a specific emotional source. I create my artwork like I would piece a puzzle together.

More and more my work is becoming more abstract and more complex in what I explore and express. The puzzle pieces are becoming less and less obvious to others, and I like that. I think art should always be open to someone's interpretation, because when a piece is so set in stone in what it communicates, then it never explores the depths of someone's imagination and thoughts. It just looks pretty. I like to make people think and feel and hopefully I achieve that for some people.
