DescriptionThe heart of the Piazza del Duomo is,obviously, the Duomo, the medieval cathedral, entitled to Santa Maria Assunta (St. Mary of the Assumption). This is a five-naved cathedral with a three-naved transept. The church is known also as the Primatial, being the archbishop of Pisa a Primate since 1092. Piazza del Duomo also houses the leaning tower of Pizza.
Michelle Lambert Member Since March 2010 Artist Statement My photography attempts to combine my love of traveling and photography by capturing the essence of different cultures and their unique beauty. Each country I have visited has its own mannerisms, architecture, and color of life. It is these differences that so fascinate me, and I can not help but get excited whenever I get to capture these differences on film... or more currently, on digital film. I have been to Ireland, Scotland, Italy, France, and Germany, and lived in England with my husband for a time. It is our hope that we can one day live there again. How I miss being able to hop on RyanAir and go to Paris for the weekend!
